Go to Tools > Accounts and on the Mail tab, click Add > Mail and enter the details provided by your ISP/Email provider.

Go to Tools > Accounts, on the Mail tab select the account you wish to backup and click Export. You can then save your Email account settings as an .iaf file. This can then be restored by using the same dialog but by clicking the Import button and navigating to the .iaf file you exported originally.

If you wish to block a sender from emailing you, select the message from the sender that you wish to block, then click Message > Block Sender and you will no longer receive emails from that email address.

Outlook Express periodically checks for new Emails. The default time period is 30 minutes. To change this, go to Tools > Options and under Send/Receive messages change the duration from 30 minutes to your desired value.

To set Outlook Express as your default E-mail client, Go to Tools > Options, and on the General tab there is a subheading named Default Messaging Programs. Under this heading click Make Default next to This application is NOT the default Mail handler and click on OK.
 
Use a background template in your Emails | Print |  E-mail

To use one of the built in background templates in your Email, create a new Email and click on Format > Apply Stationary and choose the style of stationary you wish to insert into your Email message.
