Getting a new workstation is usually
only about half the story. You will probably need to have your printer,
internet connection, e-mail settings, data transferred and more.
Getting a system to
look and feel the way you would like is not the easiest job in the world and so
we offer the following services to help to make this process as smooth as
possible.
- Existing Hardware, Peripherals & Software
If you are
upgrading an existing computer, it is possible utilise original office
software and this can mean a significant cost saving on the overall price
of the system. If you don't have Office software however, we can also
supply this.
Peripherals such as printers, scanners, digital cameras, web cameras etc.
can be installed and tested on the new workstation.
- Internet & Email
Connection Installed
All types of new or existing internet and email accounts can be installed.
We are also able to visit your premises to configure broadband routers.
- Data Transferred From Old PC
We can
transfer data from the old workstation onto the hard drive of the new workstation.
This includes any information in My Documents, Desktop Files, Internet
Favourites, Address Books, Email Messages and much more.
* Note - We scan all data for viruses before
transfer.
- Windows XP Home
and Professional Editions
If the
system is going to be part of a Microsoft Network now or in the future
then Windows XP professional is currently the best operating system. If
you will never be part of a Microsoft network then Windows XP home edition
will be the best operating system for you.
Windows XP professional has
more functionality than the home version with regard to networking. It can
join a domain controlled by a server or be part of a peer-to-peer network.
We can supply and install either of these depending on your requirements.
- Windows User Configuration.
User Profiles can be created with passwords if a greater degree of data
security is necessary.
- Anti-Virus Installed and
registered
One of the
most important things that we do is to install, configure and register Panda
Anti-virus so that you don't have to.
- Integration into your
existing network
finally we
can configure or integrate your new workstation into your existing company
network. This could include the setting up of internet access, printer
sharing and data sharing.
If you do not have a Network server then we can advise and produce a
quotation tailored to your current and future requirements include on
going maintenance and support to ensure smooth running and trouble free
operation of the system.
